1. What THROMBOCID FORTE is and what it is used for
This medication is an ointment for skin use that, when applied to the skin, improves blood flow, promoting the dissolution of clots. It belongs to the pharmacotherapeutic group of topical antivaricose drugs.

Thrombocid Forte is indicated for:

– Local symptomatic relief of superficial venous disorders such as heaviness and tightness in legs with varicose veins in adults.

– Symptomatic local relief of superficial bruises caused by blows in adults and children over 1 year of age.

2. Before using THROMBOCID FORTE
Do not use Thrombocid Forte

If you are allergic (hypersensitive) to pentosan polysulfate sodium or any of the ingredients of Thrombocid Forte.
If you suffer from significant coagulation disorders.
Do not apply to mucous membranes, ulcers and open or infected wounds.

Take special care with Thrombocid Forte as it

This medication is for cutaneous (on the skin) use only.
Should be used only on intact skin.
Avoid contact with eyes.
In case of venous problems caused by blood clots (such as thromboembolism), it is recommended to apply the product gently and without massaging.
It should not be used for a long time or on very large areas of the skin.

Use of other medications

It is not recommended to apply other preparations for skin use in the same area.

Tell your doctor or pharmacist if you are taking or have recently taken any other medicines, including medicines obtained without a prescription.

Pregnancy and lactation

Consult your doctor or pharmacist before taking any medicine.

You should not use Thrombocid Forte during pregnancy or breast-feeding unless otherwise instructed by your doctor.

Driving and using machines

Thrombocid Forte has no or negligible influence on the ability to drive and use machines.
